Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has assured Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' of a vote of confidence.
During a meeting between Prime Minister Dahal and leader Deuba this evening, Deuba gave assurances to vote for him after discussing about the same within the party, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat. The official decision about that will be taken by the NC Parliamentary Party meeting on Tuesday morning.
Prime Minister Dahal went to meet the Congress President Deuba at his private residence in Dhumbahari, as per the decision of the ruling coalition to seek a vote of confidence from the opposition parties as well.
Prime Minister Dahal is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives tomorrow.
This was the first time that Prime Minister Dahal and Congress President Deuba met since Dahal left the previous five-party ruling alliance led by the NC and joined a new alliance involving the UML.
