Former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is being produced today before the Kaski District Court. He is in police custody for investigation on charges of misappropriation of financial cooperative funds.
On Friday, he was arrested in Kathmandu on charges of embezzlement of funds from the Sooryadarshan Savings and Credit Cooperatives Limited and subsequently organised crime and brought to Pokhara the same night.
Rastriya Swatantra Party President Lamichhane remains in custody at District Police Office Kaski. Office spokesperson Basant Kumar Sharma said that Lamichhane will be produced in court later today.
