Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected as the parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party.
Prime minister and President Deuba was elected as the leader of the party through the voting process held on Wednesday.
Deuba won with 64 votes, out of 89 votes, defeating his competitor Gagan Kumar Thapa, who received only 25 votes.
