Janakpurdham, Aug. 5: An Indian pilgrim drowned in Telha pond near the Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham last night.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dhanusha Madhu Sudan Neupane said that Adarsha Kumar Jha, 20, of Hajirpur from India's Bihar State drowned in the pond.
The local youths rescued Jha immediately after the incident and rushed him to the provincial hospital in Janakpurdham. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Neupane shared that Jha died while receiving treatment.
