
Kathmandu, Oct 24: A team from the Maharajgunj Police Circle has confiscated medicines that were being distributed in breach of established standards.
At Takshak Pharmacy, in Basundhara, Tokha Municipality–5, medications requiring a doctor's prescription for distribution were found to be sold unlawfully, following received information.
The confiscated items include 385 tablets'Spain', 750 tablets, 'Anticof', 100 tablets, 'Pregabalin', 200 capsules, 'Pregabalin LP', and 100 capsules, 'Pregamer 75', said Inspector Laxman Devkota of the Maharajgunj Police.
He stated that the pharmacy was run by 40-year-old Prakash Gautam from Khadbari Municipality–8, Sankhuwasabha, and collaboration with the Department of Drug Administration verified that the distribution of these medicines was against regulations.
