Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has emphasized that the remaining part of the peace process should be completed as soon as possible.
Addressing a program organized here on the occasion of the 22nd Krishna Sen 'Ichchuk' Memorial Day, Minister Sharma, also government spokesperson, said that the remaining part of the peace process should be completed as soon as possible through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
"It is very sad that the peace process has not been completed yet, it should be concluded soon", she said. Minister Sharma said that the peace process should not be made a political issue.
Stating that the peace process should be taken as the peace process of the entire country rather than just that of an individual, party or leader, she emphasized that it should be completed as soon as possible as it is a matter of the entire state.
She said that the bill related to truth and reconciliation commissions should be passed as soon as possible from the parliament. "If we really want to give justice to Krishna Sen, to all the disappeared persons like Sen then the bill should be passed as soon as possible. After the bill is passed, the overall peace process of Nepal should be finalized."
Minister Sharma also lauded the contribution of many individuals, including late Sen, to make the People's War a success. She emphasized that the contribution made by the freedom fighters including Krishna Sen should be recognized while taking pride over the fact that Nepal is a federal democratic republic.
