Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra arrived in Kathmandu today for a two-day visit to Nepal on the invitation of Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal.
During his visit, Kwatra is expected to meet with the Prime Minister, heads of political parties, high-ranking government officials, and others.
Foreign Secretary duo Poudyal and Kwatra would discuss on several aspects of multi-dimensional collaboration between Nepal and India.
This is the first standalone visit of Kwatra to Nepal after he assumed the charge of foreign secretary.
According to the Indian External Affairs Ministry, the visit is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and the priority India attaches to its relations with Nepal under its 'Neighbourhood First' policy.
