Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has resigned from his position, announcing the decision on Wednesday through a Facebook post, effective immediately.
He said he stepped down to allow a fair investigation into matters related to him, avoid any conflict of interest, and ensure that the investigation is not influenced.
Gurung stated that public trust is more important than power and that holding office comes with moral responsibility. He also noted that the Gen-Z movement, which calls for good governance, transparency, and accountability, carries the same message.
He added that public life should be honest and leaders must act responsibly, adding that he has fulfilled his moral obligation by resigning from post.
