Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (UML), KP Sharma Oli, has been released from police custody.
He has been handed over to his family at the hospital. According to police officials, further decisions regarding his case will be made following a medical evaluation and in accordance with the attending physician’s recommendations.
KP Sharma Oli was arrested from his residence in Gundu on March 28 on charges related to the suppression of the ‘Gen-Z’ movement. He had been receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after experiencing health complications.
