
Lumbini Lions have secured the title of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2.
In the final match, held on Saturday at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Lumbini Lions defeated Sudurpaschim Royals by six wickets to claim the championship.
Chasing the target set by Sudurpaschim Royals, Lumbini Lions completed the run chase with the loss of four wickets.
Sudurpaschim Royals, who chose to bat first after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur, were bowled out for 85 runs in 19.1 overs.
RohitPaudel, the captain of Lumbini Lions, secured three wickets, marking his impressive hat-trick.
This achievement makes Rohit the second bowler this season to accomplish such a feat, following Shahab Alam of Kathmandu Gorkhas, who recorded the first hat-trick earlier in the season.
