Kathmandu, Nov 5: The 10th National Games is going to be held from coming February 13.
The 123rd board meeting of the National Sports Council held on Wednesday under Chairmanship of Chairperson, Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, took the decision to organise the National Games from February 13-19 in Karnali Province.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to recommend the cabinet to provide former runner Jit Bahadur KC, who won the first international medal for Nepal, with Rs 2.5 million.
Various decisions including directing national sports association, not organising national championships for long, to organise championship within three months, to provide facilities and prize with concerned players announced by national sports association itself within 15 days, and to submit foreign visit related report at the NSC were also taken.
NSC Member-Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, Vice-Chairperson Dhurba Acharya, Secretary at the Ministry, Dr Hari Prasad Lamsal, Board members were present in the meeting.
