Kathmandu, Nov 3: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal today visited the private residence of President Ramchandra Paudel in Bohoratar. The President’s house had been vandalized and set on fire during the Gen Z demonstration on September 9.
During the visit, the Home Minister pledged to ensure the rebuilding of the house in consultation with the President’s family.
Kathmandu Chief District Officer Ishwor Raj Paudel and Armed Police Force Chief Raju Aryal were among those accompanying the Home Minister on the occasion.
The delegation also visited the Balaju Police Circle, which was damaged during the same demonstration. Reconstruction of the facility has already begun with support from the local community.
The Circle Chief informed the Home Minister that the land on which the facility has been constructed does not belong to the Circle.
