Kathmandu, Nov 3: The Deshbhakta Samajbadi Morcha led by Gopal Kirati has rejoined the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) nearly eight years after splitting from it. The Morcha had been formed following a split from the Maoist Centre.
Maoist Centre Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Morcha Chairperson Gopal Kiranti signed an agreement today regarding the party’s unification.
According to the agreement, unity among revolutionaries has become essential to steer the country in the right direction amidst the current circumstances. Both parties have agreed to objectively review past ideological, political, and organizational mistakes and shortcomings, and to hold systematic discussions within the party on the concept of socialist democracy put forward by the Morcha.
