Newly Appointed PM Karki Assumes Office

The newly appointed Prime Minister of the interim government Sushila Karki, has assumed office on Sunday morning.

The Prime Minister's Office has been operating in the new building of the Ministry of Home Affairs within Singha Durbar.

Karki has become the 42nd and first female Prime Minister of Nepal. Karki was appointed as the Prime Minister of the interim government on Friday.

Earlier, she laid a wreath at the statues of the martyrs at the martyrs' memorial at Lainchaur and Sahidgate today.

Outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned from his post on 24 Bhadra after the Gen-Z movement intensified.
