
A protester who was injured in police firing during the ongoing Genji movement in New Baneshwor has died.
A protester who was injured in police firing during ongoing Gen Z protest in Kathmandu has died . The injured protester was rushed to the hospital but but succumbed to injuries during treatment, according to hospital sources. The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.
The protest, which began at Maitighar, turned violent as it reached the Parliament building. After protesters breached restricted zones, police resorted to using tear gas and rubber bullets.
In response to the deteriorating situation, the Home Ministry imposed a curfew and deployed the Nepali Army to the Baneshwor area.
Police sources confirmed that another protester who was also shot remains in critical condition..
