Kathmandu, May 21: Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Dr Biswo Nath Poudel.
The CJ Raut administered the oath to economist Dr Poudel amid a ceremony held at the Supreme Court today.
The meeting of Council of Ministers convened on last Tuesday decided to appoint Dr Poudel to the post.
The government had formed a three-member committee coordinated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel to recommend the eligible candidate to lead the Central Bank of Nepal.
