
Human Limbu, a renowned pastry and bakery chef from Nepal, received the prestigious Asia-Nepal International Hospitality Award for Lifetime Achievement and Innovative Boulangerie and Patisserie Chef at a ceremony held at Hilton Hotel Al Seef, Dubai.
The award was presented by Walid Al Hasan, along with Ram Bahadur Moktan, President of the Nepali Society UAE, and Bikash Shahi, President of NRN Dubai.
Limbu, born in a remote village in Nepal, began his culinary journey at age 10, learning from his family. He later trained at Lenôtre Paris, specializing in pastry and bakery. His career took off in Dubai with Sofitel Hotel JBR Marina, leading to work with luxury brands like Accor Hotels, Starwood, Marriott, and Hilton. With over 20 years of experience, he has contributed to the establishment of 17 five-star hotels and co-founded two confectionery companies in the Middle East.
Limbu was the first Nepali to receive the Middle East's Golden Visa for his culinary expertise and was named Best Manager of the Year at St. Regis Hotel. His work with Bonbon Café at The Lana Dubai earned the title of Best Pastry Shop Opening in the World by La Liste 1000 in 2024.
Currently with Dorchester Collection, Limbu was named Best Bakery Chef in the Middle East 2024.
