Trump’s Era In America

Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States took  office on January 20, and his confrontational manner and policies became apparent. Every day, he is busy signing several executive orders. Along with the decision to repeal 78 directives issued during former President John Biden's tenure, he has issued over a hundred orders in accordance with his election objectives and pledges. Trump's demeanor, presentation, and hostility demonstrate that while the times have changed, his personality has not. America's competitiveness and strength may be less comparable to others. However, Russia, a rival since the Cold War, is a superpower today. Several nations throughout the world no longer fear America, not only economically, technologically, and commercially, but also because of internal strategic capabilities. China and India, Asia's two largest countries, are growing increasingly powerful in a variety of fields, including agriculture, manufacturing, strategy, economics, technology, and the military.

However, the country appears competent and claims to be superior to others, given America's geographical location, advanced technology, natural resources, and expert manpower that have migrated to America from all around the world. When Trump was initially elected president and then defeated in the election, several of his acts were deemed inappropriate in terms of democratic values. Perhaps since he had already faced defeat four years ago, Trump was able to snatch the presidency from his opponent, Kamala Harris of the opposition Democratic Party, with overwhelming support in this election. Coincidentally, in both the 2017 and 2024 elections, Trump faced the female leaders of the opposition Democratic Party. Hillary Clinton was the first candidate to run against Trump, followed by Kamala Harris.

Despite his previous shortcomings, the American people have confidently supported Donald Trump. His decision to drop the charges and indictments against his accomplices in the January 2021 incident must have been predicated on popular support. However, this judgment has communicated a message that violence, hooliganism, and disorder are acceptable in politics, and its long-term influence will undoubtedly be detrimental to democratic values. In addition, as promised before the election, Trump has already signed an order to seal the border with Mexico and proclaimed a border emergency. According to reports, around 20,000 individuals who were waiting in line as refugees at the Mexican border have been relocated.

Now, the process of progressively erecting barbed wire and a wall in the region in preparation for army deployment can be seen. The United States is now facing a significant problem of illegal immigration. However, the process of people who enter the US to study lawfully, complete their education, work, obtain a green card, and finally become permanent citizens is growing. Each year, thousands of immigrants enter the United States via the Diversity Visa. Trump's announcement does not appear to have an impact on the resolution of such judicial proceedings. However, Trump has indicated that he will re-evaluate the right to be a citizen at birth in order to firmly restrict illegal immigration.

There are also numerous infants born to immigrants who are unlawfully present in the United States or who entered the nation as tourists. Trump's decision has called into question the constitutional clause that states that any child born in the United States has a right to citizenship. Experts believe that the Constitution needs to be amended to execute this revelation. Despite the restriction on illegal immigration, Trump's move will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the approximately 10 million individuals who have been living in the United States without legal documents for a long time and conducting business and jobs. The majority of people have moved to the United States for a variety of reasons, including employment, convenience, and many other motivations.

Experts believe it is inhumane for refugees in the United States to be forced to return home without any other options owing to social, economic, and governmental tyranny. However, Trump does not appear to be disturbed by this. The issue of illegal immigration is predicted to have a substantial impact on the US agriculture and manufacturing sectors, resulting in considerable price increases.
Donald Trump has stated that the Gulf of Mexico would be renamed the Gulf of America. His announcement to reclaim control of the Panama Canal sparked an international response. This canal is also a bottleneck connecting South America to Europe and Asia. China is currently developing a port in conjunction with the Panamanian government. China, which has risen to first place in production and commerce, even surpassing Russia, is increasingly competing strategically with the United States.

China is prioritizing its connections with South American countries while also boosting commerce and investment. Trump's anxiety over China's miraculous and strategic presence beneath the nose of US strength, which is regarded as a powerhouse in the world, appears to be in a position to aggressively oppose. China has clearly developed a plan to influence India and Japan in Asia, Europe, and the United States economically and strategically. China is aggressively growing its power as a result of American presence in Taiwan, backing in South Korea, and whatever form American policy in Tibet takes. This is a subject of national interest. China is also increasing its presence in South American and African countries. Perhaps the Trump administration might have been more aware of this move.

In the last four years, the United States has been involved in every occurrence, including the American exodus from Afghanistan, the Israel-Hamas conflict, the Ukraine-Russia war, the Syrian regime change, and the Bangladesh revolt. The prior strategy of giving weaponry to the security of another nation across the border while increasing taxes, levies, and costs for American residents has sparked outrage. The new President Trump, who has witnessed this wrath firsthand, has adopted the America First motto. He has declared his opposition to war. However, there is no way of moving beyond American interests. It appears hard to reduce war preparations in favor of American interests.

President Trump has stated that he would no longer fund the World Health Organization and, to everyone's surprise, that the idea to acknowledge just men and women. It is yet unclear how much of an impact this will have. In any event, Trump's ascension to prominence has ushered in an aggressive attitude in the United States. Let us hope that in the next days, American policies will also preserve the interests and well-being of tiny nations such as Nepal. Best wishes for President Trump's successful rise to power.
