Govinda Marasini, a journalist and freelance writer, has received the JCI Outstanding Youth Award 2024 for his dedication to enhance Nepal's international reputation via investigative journalism. Marasini, who has been in the industry for over 15 years, writes on youth, tourism, social issues, and current events for national magazines.
He was one of ten recipients honored by Junior Chamber International Nepal (JCI) during the 51st National Convention. Other awardees were cricketers Karan KC and Ruveena Chhetri, author Kumar Singh, social justice advocate Kavita Nepal, artist Vijay Baral, banking sector leader Rahiv Sahiwala, scientist Kapili Khanal, and singer Saroj Shrestha.
The awards were presented by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikma Kumar Karki, and JCI Nepal President Rabin Pokharel, who praised the young people for their outstanding services to the country.
