Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak has asserted that the present governing alliance has been forged to provide political stability to the nation.
He said so while addressing a programme after laying the foundation stone for a new building of the District Administration Office Dhanusha here today. The Home Minister opined that it has become easier to resolve the problems besetting the country when the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) have joined hands to form the government which will take the country ahead towards new dimension.
"A climate of trust towards the government has been generated among the people now with the formation of this government," he said, adding that the topic of transitional justice which was incomplete for 18 years has been successfully taken to logical conclusion when the Nepali Congress and the UML came together.
Stating the present coalition is absolute for the country, Minister Lekhak cautioned that it would not be appropriate to immediately seek an alternative to this government. "It has not only resolved complex problem but has also provided political stability to the country, besides improving the service delivery to the people," he added.
The Home Affairs Minister stressed on the need of all parties to work together for development, economic prosperity and guaranteeing the rule of law, among others, as both the ruling and opposition parties are the indispensable bases of democracy.
He reiterated that the present government formed by the two big parties will carry out the remaining development works that were stalled due to the impact of the political instability in the centre and in provinces in the past.
