Saurya Airlines' captain Manish Ratna Shakya, who has been receiving treatment following the deadly plane crash, is in normal condition, according to Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal.
Director at the Medical College, Prof Dr Mina Thapa, issued a press note on Thursday sharing that captain Shakya was out of danger at present.
Shakya is the lone survivor of the Saurya Airlines plane accident which claimed the lives of 18 others onboard on Wednesday morning.
He was rescued alive from the crash site at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Captain Shakya's treatment had begun by admitting him at ICU in the hospital. Currently, there is no complication in his treatment.
"Shakya's face has got minor wounds. Three ribs and a backbone are fractured," Dr Thapa mentioned.
Dr Thapa has also paid tributes to those who died in the plane crash and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
