The government is providing monthly stipends to total 255 players who have got medals in the international sports competitions in the Olympics, and the Asian and south Asian games.
The economic survey Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun presented in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday mentioned this scheme.
A detailed project report was prepared for the establishment of a high altitude training centre at Timal of Manang district for capacity building of players.
The economic survey further stated that stadiums were built in Dhangadhi, Surkhet, Nepalgunj and Itahari as per government plan of 'one-province one stadium scheme'.
Sports related infrastructures were being built in 171 local levels as well.
