The Patan High Court has acquitted cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane of rape charges.
The bench of Judges Sudarshandev Bhatt and Anju Upreti Dhakal overturned the verdict of the Kathmandu District Court and ruled him not guilty.
Sandeep was found guilty by the Kathmandu District Court and sentenced to 8 years in prison in a case brought by Gaushala 26 (name changed). Sandeep filed an appeal with the higher court, seeking that the verdict be reversed.
