The Election Commission of Pakistan on Sunday announced the preliminary results of the National Assembly election.
The independent candidates won 101 seats, and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif won 75 seats, with the last two seats still pending, the commission said.
