6 Citizenship Cards Cancelled On Ground Of Fake Details

The government has cancelled six Nepali citizenship certificates obtained from the District Administration Office, Siraha by submitting fake details.

Making public the decisions of Council of Ministers held on December 21 and 28 on Friday, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma shared that they were removed from Nepali citizens.

The meeting has formed a joint technical task force under coordination of a joint secretary of the MOCIT on behalf of Nepal for reviewing and amending the Nepal-China Trade and Payment Agreement, 1981.

As shared the cabinet has given in-principle approval to draft a bill related to the formation, operation and conditions of services of the Nepal Special Service.

Minister Sharma informed that the cabinet decided to define indigenous minority (except Dalits) as minorities with less than 0.5 percent of the total population of the National Consensus, 2078 BS for the purpose of Clause 2(b) of the National Assembly Member Election Act, 2075 BS.

The government has decided to appoint Ramkrishna Adhiakri of Suryagadhi rural municipality of Nuwakot as a management, economic and printing advisor and Sushila Chaudhary of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-17, Dang as a legal advisor to the Gorkhapatra Corporation for two years.

The government has approved the directive on the use of social media by government office, 2080; national policy on the people with disabilities, 2079 BS; children policy, 2079, national gender equality policy, 2077 implementation action plan; work procedure on providing land for physical infrastructure development in conserved area, 2080 and national health crisis management coordination directive, 2080.

The meeting decided to entrust the management responsibility of the Annapurna Conservation Area and Manaslu Conservation Area to the National Trust for Nature Conservation.

The cabinet has decided to designate Nepali Ambassador to Malaysia, Dilliraj Poudel, also as a non-resident ambassador to the Philippines and promote two brigadier generals to the rank of major general and nine colonels to brigadier generals of the Nepal Army.

The government also decided to use a total of 40.19 hectares of land in the national forest of Makawanpur and Bara in compliance with the conditions involved for the construction of the road section of the Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhes Expressway Road Project and cut 4,345 trees of the forest.

The meeting also approved the use of 10.13 hectares of land in the national forest area of Rasuwa for 24 years and removal of 1,214 trees in the forest area for the construction of the tower and right of way of the transmission line project of Sanjen Khola Hydropower Project.

The government has nominated Srijana (Malla) Rana, who has made special contributions to the tourism and environment sector, and Lokbhakta Shamsher JB Rana as members of the Dream Garden Development Committee. The meeting has fixed the public holiday and office time to be given in 2081 BS. Minister Sharma informed that the holidays have been extended on the martyrs' day and Ram Navami.
