The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)'s Customs Office has arrested two persons with 14 kilograms of gold from the airport.
A squad from the office on Thursday night caught Min Bahadur Ghale, a resident of Gorkha and another person who came via Fly Dubai's FZ 573 number flight.
Customs Officer Ramesh Kunwar told RSS that Ghale was arrested with seven biscuit-shaped yellow metal pieces wrapped in clothes.
According to Kathmandu Valley Police Office Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dinesh Raj Mainali, another person was arrested acting on the information of Ghale.
Arrested Ghale has been detained at the Koteswor Police Range for now. He would be handed to the TIA Office, Gaucharan for further investigations.
SSP Mainali said investigation into the incident has been initiated.
