Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has returned home today after wrapping up his official visit to New York and China.
Earlier, after wrapping up visit to the US for UN General Assembly, the PM had left for China from New York.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, ministers, lawmakers, chiefs of security bodies, leaders of different political parties and high-ranking officials of the government welcomed PM Dahal at VVIP Longue of Tribhuvan International Airport.
On the occasion, a contingent of the Nepali Army accorded a guard of honour to Prime Minister Dahal.
The Nepali delegation led by PM Dahal returned home from Chengdu city of China today. The delegation had left Chengdu for Kathmandu this morning.
According to a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the PM, during his stay in China, had a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and attended the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou.
Similarly, while in Beijing, PM Dahal had a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, and witnessed signing of several memoranda of understanding.
The PM also held meeting with Chairman of Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, Zhao Leji.
Moreover, Minister of the International Department of China, Liu Jianchao called on PM Dahal.
In course of the visit, PM Dahal visited Chongqing municipality, Tibet Autonomous region, as well as Sichuan Province and held fruitful meetings with the leaders of the local governments of China.
Nepali Ambassador to China, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, and officials of the consulate general in Chengdu, and among other officials saw off the Nepali delegation at airport in Chengdu.
