The teachers who were protesting against the newly introduced education bill have come to an agreement with the government.
The representatives of the teachers and the government held talks at Singha Darbar on Friday.
Rekha Sharma, minister of communication and information technology, informed that the two parties had reached an agreement.
Considering the parliamentary supremacy, it was agreed that the demands raised by the teachers would be fulfilled by the Parliament. The teachers will halt their ongoing protest, she added.
After the discussions on Thursday came to a dead end, more discussions were held on Friday.
Teachers from all over the country thronged to kathmandu to protest.
