Lalita Niwas Land Scam: All Except Tuladhar Released On Bail

The Kathmandu District Court on Sunday ordered to release Min Bahadur Gurung on bail. The court has sought Rs 24.6 million in bail from Gurung, the proprietor of Bhatbhateni Supermarket. Gurung was arrested on charge of his alleged involvement in the Lalita Niwas land grab scam.

A single bench of Judge Bholanath Dhakal issued an order to release Gurung on bail. The Kathmandu District Government Attorney Office had filed the case against fraudulent documentation relating to the Lalita Niwas land grab scam.

Registrar at the Kathmandu District Court, Kaushaleshwor Gyawali, said Judge Dhakal ordered to release all accused ones except Keshav Tuladhar on bail. Tuladhar was released on general date.

A bail of Rs 330,000 has been demanded from Shivaji Bhatta, Rs 750,000 from Rudra Kumar Shrestha, Rs 750,000 from Bal Krishna Shrestha, Rs 1.5 million from Kaladhar Deuja and Rs 750,000 from Ghaman Kumar Karki.

Similarly, the court ordered to release Gopal Karki on the bail of Rs 750,000, Binod Poudel on Rs 1.5 million, Yograj Poudel on Rs 750,000, Narayan Raj Mishra on Rs 750,000, Arun Kumar Shrestha on Rs 750,000, Dhurba Prasad Aryal on Rs 330,000, Baburaja Maharjan on Rs 110,000, Dev Narayan Maharjan on Rs 110,000, Sakalananda Maharjan on Rs 110,000, Sanjay Kumar Maharjan on Rs 110,000 and Lokari Ghimire on Rs 150,000.
