The final match of the ACC Men's Premier League one-day cricket tournament has been postponed due to rain.
Host Nepal and the UAE were contesting for the title at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur when rain forced the match to be stopped and thereby postponed for 9:00 am tomorrow.
According to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the match will resume tomorrow from where it was stopped today. The match was stopped in 27.3 overs, with the UAE struggling at 106 for 9 wickets.
Put to bat first after losing the toss, the UAE lost wickets at regular interval with only one wicket left and just 106 runs on the board, when the match was stopped due to rain.
Ashif Khan of the UAE was the highest scorer with 46 runs. Similarly, Aryan Lakra, Mohammad Wasim and Bashir Hamid collected 13, 11 and 10 runs respectively.
For the home team, Lalit Rajbanshi took 3 wickets while Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each. Gulsan Jha and Sompal Kami took one wicket each.
Nepal entered into final after ending up winner of Group 'A' after the semi-final match against Kuwait could not be completed due to rain. Likewise, the UAE made it to the final by defeating Oman in the semi-final under D/L method after the match in Mulpani cricket ground was also affected by the rain.
