Janata Samajbadi Party Chair Upendra Yadav is leading the vote count in the Bara-2 by-election.
Yadav has secured 13,804 votes so far, while Janamat Party's Shivchandra Prasad Kushbaha received 9,231.
They are followed by UML candidate Purushottam Paudel with 4,577 votes, according to the Office of Chief Returning Officer.
The vote count is underway at the Education Training Center, Kalaiya.
The post of House of Representatives member was lying vacant in Bara-2 after earlier HoR member Ramshahay Prasad Yadav became Vice President.
