Because of the unsightly web of cables, Kathmandu no longer resembles the capital. Instead of being attractive, organized, and developed, the capital is full of dust, smoke, and the ugliness of wire mesh.
Electricity, telephone, cable, and internet service providers have not only made the city unpleasant, but they have also raised the danger of accidents when the wires are placed in such a way that even the poles cannot reach them.
The Nepal Electricity Authority has arranged the city by burying the lines, which dangle like nets. But, telecom and other service providers are not getting on board.
