Preparations being made to transport injured NC leader Bhandari to India

Doctors have recommended to take Nepali Congress leader Dr Chandra Bhandari, who has sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion, to a well-equipped treatment facility abroad for further treatment.

House of Representatives (HoR) member Bhandari and his 86-year-old mother Harikala Bhandari were injured in the incident that took place at Buddhanagar-based home on Wednesday night. They are being treated at Kirtipur-based Burn Hospital.

According to the hospital, 25 percent of MP Bhandari's body was burned while 70 percent of his mother's body was burned.

Family members have informed that the preparations are being made to take him to India.
