Protest against a public holiday to mark People’s War Day

The conflict-affected people and civil society today held a protest against the government’s decision to observe a public holiday to mark People's War Day.

Dozens of members of civil society, people associated with human rights organizations and conflict victims protested the government's decision by gathering before the Kathmandu District Court. They have demanded that the public holiday given in the name of People's War Day be canceled and that justice should be given to the victims of conflict.

Similarly, they mentioned Falgun 1 as a black day for Nepal and Nepali people.
