Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called all Nepalis to be united for the country and democracy, and contribute to realize the dreams of martyrs.
Issuing a message on the occasion of the Martyrs Day today, NC President Deuba viewed a peaceful and prosperous Nepal would be realized only through equal rights, opportunities, justice and strong democracy. Envisioning this very notion, the patriotic youths had sacrificed their lives. Deuba wished the Martyrs Day inspired all to work together for building Nepal a beautiful, peaceful and prosperous nation.
The Day is observed today, Magh 16, in memory of those who sacrificed their lives in various democratic movements and struggles since 1997BS.
