Nepali Congress chair Sher Bahadur Deuba has informed that the Congress will remain in the opposition in Parliament.
In Tuesday's meeting of the House of Representatives, he stated that the Congress will remain in the opposition despite giving the vote of confidence to Prachanda, as the government could not function without a strong opposition.
Chairman Deuba said, in the parliamentary system, a strong opposition party that can question the government is essential and added, Congress will not participate in the government but will remain in the opposition.
