Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane clarified transfer and promotion of police/employees would be made taking into consideration the capacity, professionalism, morality and knowledge.
In his address to a function after inspecting the Halchowk-based headquarters of the Armed Police Force (APF) on Saturday, he said many security personnel might have been disappointed due to unfair treatment on promotion and transfer. Lamichhane assured such would not happen during his tenure.
Earlier, the Home Minister had warned the police officials of taking action if the latter approached political leaders and higher agencies taking favour to fulfill their wishes on promotion and transfer.
