Hindu devotees across the country are observing the Rishi Panchami today. On this occasion, the Saptarishi, a group of the seven most prominent sages—Kashyapa, Atri, Bharadvaja, Vishvamitra, Gautama Maharishi, Jamadagni, and Vasishtha—along with the wife of Vasishtha, Arundhati, are worshipped.
