Kathmandu, March 25: Nepal was restricted to 200 runs by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the match held under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.
In the one-day match underway between the two sides at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Nepal was all out in 48.2 over, after being put into bat first.
Thanks to a fighting knock of 75 runs in 90 balls by Dipendra Singh Airee, Nepal were able to put up a respectable total in the board. Opener Kushal Bhurtel's 24 runs in 25 balls was the second highest score followed by Karan KC (22) and Basir Ahmad (20).
For UAE that choose to bowl first after winning the toss, Junaid Siddique and Ajay Kumar took 3 wickets each while Khuzaima Tanveer took 2 wickets.
The visitors need to score 201 runs in the stipulated 50 overs to start with a win while Nepal will have to bowl very well to have any chance of stopping their opponent.
