An arrest warrant has been issued against former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife, former minister Arzu Rana Deuba.
The warrant was obtained by the Money Laundering Investigation Department from the Kathmandu District Court as part of an inquiry into alleged illegal wealth accumulation.
The couple is currently outside the country. Reports indicate they initially traveled to Singapore for medical treatment prior to the House of Representatives elections and later moved on to Hong Kong.
Previously, during the “Gen-Z” movement, the Deuba couple was attacked, and their residence in Budhanilkantha was set on fire. Burnt currency notes were allegedly discovered at the site afterward.
