Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari has resigned from his post citing the government's authoritarian approach to Gen Z demonstrations Monday.
In his resignation letter made public at Singha Durbar today, Nepali Congress lawmaker Adhikari stated that instead of recognising citizens’ natural right to question democracy and stage peaceful protests, the state responded with widespread suppression, killings, and use of force, propelling the country towards authoritarian rule rather than democracy.
Ramnath Adhikari of Nepali Congress was elected as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Dhading-2.
