DDA Recalls Cetophen Tablets From Market For Substandard Quality

The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) has recalled Lomus Pharmaceuticals' Paracetamol tablets branded as Cetophen, claiming that they were not of quality standard.

DDA issued a notice on Sunday to recall and prohibit the distribution of the paracetamol 500 mg tablets.

During the test, it was discovered that the 500 mg of paracetamol tablets from the company's CT-2023 batch were substandard.

According to Section 14 of the Drugs Act 2035, Lomus Pharmaceutical has been directed to withdraw the batch of cetophen from the market immediately and provide the data to the department.
