Man Attempts Self-Immolation In Capital

A young man has attempted self-immolation in the capital.

Niraj Kumar Kamat of Morang Kathari Mandal attempted self-immolation by pouring gasoline on himself at Maitighar, Kathmandu.

He was rushed to the National Trauma Center for treatment.

He has been participating in the demonstration staged by the Nepal Citizenship-less Struggle Committee, which was ongoing for the past few days.

Following the Supreme Court's order to stop the implementation of the Citizenship Bill, protests, including demonstrations, was being held in Maitighar Mandala under the leadership of the committee.
