Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi), Jan 26: A child died when a school bus hit her at Devchuli municipality-1 of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba).
The deceased has been identified as a four-year-old Sushma Kumari Paswan, daughter of Bibu Paswan of Kalaiya municipality-6 in Bara district, currently living at Devchuli-14.
The accident took place in the premises of the Nepal Namuna Secondary School, Keureni, when the school bus (Lu 1 Ka 3814) accidently hit a nursery child of the same school, said Yub Raj Khadka, Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office.
The critically injured child was pronounced dead in no time by the doctors at Devchuli Municipal Hospital. Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the vehicle.
