
Kathmandu, Dec 11: Renowned sculptor Balakrishna Tuladhar passed away today at the age of 91.The statues of King Tribhuvan installed at Sahid Gate, along with those of the four martyrs - Gangalal, Dashrath Chand, Dharmabhakta and Shukraraj - as well as the four engravings there, are his creations.
Similarly, the statues of six soldiers at the Army Pavilion at Tundikhel, the statue of Tribhuvan at Banepa Chaubato, the half-size statue of Ganeshman Singh at Shobhabhagawati, and the statues of Trimoorti (Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Lekhnath Paudyal and Bal Krishna Sama) are examples of his skill and artistry.
Born in 1992 BS in Yatkha Tol, Kathmandu, Tuladhar is survived by four sons and three daughters.
