Bagmati, Nov 9: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a passenger bus at Master Chowk, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-9, Makawanpur, along the East-West Highway last night.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Bohara, 37, of Devdaha Municipality-8, Rupandehi. He was hit by the passenger bus (Ba. Pra. 03-001 Kha. 2656) heading from Janakpur to Kathmandu.
Seriously injured in the accident, he was declared dead on arrival at the Hetauda Hospital, said , said Makawanpur District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati.
The police have taken the bus driver, Sujay Kumar Singh, 33, of Ramgopalpur Municipality-6, Mahottari, under control and further investigation is underway.
