Kathmandu, Oct 31: The Kathmandu Municipal Corporation (KMC) has requested residents of the metropolis not to remove solid waste from their homes.
The request comes after obstruction by locals at the Bancharedanda landfill site, the final disposal site for garbage collected in Kathmandu valley.
The KMC Department of Environment Management issued a notice today urging residents to hold garbage at home and in their compounds and not to throw it haphazardly on the road and public places.
