Kathmandu, Sept 15: Nepal Police personnel are contributing from their respective remuneration to generate funds to provide Rs 1 million each to the families of their fellow police personnel, who died in the line of duty during the September 8 and 9 Gen-Z protests.
Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Binod Ghimire shared police personnel from Inspector General to the Inspector of Police will contribute a share from their respective salary to provide the financial relief support to the victim families.
“A decision has been made to provide a financial support of Rs 1 million to the families of the police officers who were martyred in the line of duty during the agitation on September 8 and 9,” reads a statement issued by Nepal Police here today.
