Kathmandu, Sept 11: The Ministry of Health and Population has reported that the death toll from the recent Gen Z demonstrations has reached 34, while more than 1,000 individuals have sustained injuries.
According to Ministry spokesperson Dr Prakash Budhathoki, the fatalities were recorded in various hospitals across the country. A total of 1,368 people were reported injured, the majority of whom have already been discharged after receiving treatment.
Among these deaths, six took place in Civil Service Hospital, eight in National Trauma Centre, three in Everest Hospital, two in Kathmandu Medical College, one in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, two in Bayodha, three in Frontline, one in B & C, Birtamode, one in Birta City Hospital, two in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and five in the Bheri Hospital.
Likewise, among the injured, 48 are in Civil Hospital, 58 in Trauma Centre, 25 in TUTH, 35 in Kathmandu Medical College and 26 in the Birendra Military Hospital. As he said, 949 have already returned home after recovery.
