Widespread violence erupted across Nepal as Gen-Z protesters took to the streets, targeting key political figures and institutions.
Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, along with his wife Arzu Rana Deuba, was reportedly assaulted by demonstrators. Eyewitness accounts and video footage circulating on social media show Deuba visibly injured and covered in blood.
In a dramatic escalation, protesters have set fire to Singha Durbar — the administrative hub of the government — as well as the Parliament building and the residences of several senior political leaders.
Acts of arson and vandalism have also been reported at party offices and police stations nationwide. Security forces are reportedly struggling to contain the unrest as the protests intensify and spread.
